A Sampling of What's Going ON

I HAVE BEEN SO BUSY lately that blog writing and reading have been non-existent pursuits. I'm hoping I can get back in the swing of things soon. About a week ago, before the rains returned, I took these photos.

A Kiss-Me-Over-The-Garden-Gate blossom closeup.

Sedum 'October Daphne' in a container.

This is a closeup of the starry flowers.

I've had this unnamed fuchsia in the ground for many years. It has never looked as good as it has this year.

The Lavatera has also never looked better and performed so long. Usually by now, they're a distant memory.

Euphorbia. I can't remember the cultivar name.

Euphorbia 'Tasmanian Tiger' finally looking great.

Northern Sea Oats dangling in the slight breeze.

Cyclamen blooming in a container because I had no space in the garden to plant them.
I hope everyone is healthy and happy and enjoying the final days of garden puttering.

  1. That sedum is SO awesome Grace! LOVE it. I still haven't added 'kiss me over the garden gate' to my garden & I so want it. Wonder what the hold up is?!!
Glad you might be back to blogland more ~ your garden is too wonderful not to share. :)

  4. Hi, Grace! I very love the sedum in container! What a great idea! The nicest!
How do you store cyclamens or do you stay them outside?

  5. Hello Gracie girl !
You always have such unusual plants to see .. that October Daphne is amazing!! .. I have never seen anything like it!
.... and that fuchsia, you are in a lucky zone to grow them like that .. I am jealous ! haha
Both euphorbia are stunning .. I grew one once and it seemed very lack luster .. but these are so pretty!
Today I am working on getting my bulbs in ... crossed fingers !!!
    Joy : )

  7. I like your container with 'October Daphne'. Those purple flowers look good above the thick leaves in the pot.

I am a little envious that you can grow fuchsia in the garden year round. Yours drape well with the fern foliage. My fuchsia, the little wimps, have all been removed from my pots.

The butterfly blooms of the cyclamen are soft and spring-like, lucky that you managed to find a space to squeeze them in.

  8. Your garden is full of blooms still. I had no idea cyclamen would be blooming now, I thought they were spring bloomers?! I love the colors you have going on, I see a theme.

  9. Hi Grace, I haven't stopped by lately...glad I did today. I really like the idea of putting cyclamen in a pot, very clever!
I tried fuchsia and it didn't do well here in SC unfortunately.
I think your unknown Euphorbia is 'Ascot Rainbow', though there are so many varieities, could be wrong.

  12. I wouldn't have thought of putting a Sedum in a hanging basket, it looks great! My Fuchsias used to be reliable but we had so many bad winters... Your first Euphorb reminds me of Daphne 'Briggs Moonlight' which didn't make it for me. Lovely!

  13. I think your euphorbia is Ascot Rainbow, too. I just moved a third pink clematis to a fence I share with my neighbor. At first I thought it would be too much pink for one area, but then I thought of your garden and grabbed my shovel! :o)
